Mix & Match
The designer studied various kinds of fastening system existing in the market, hoped to design a pair of shoes with special fastening system. Take fastening system as a design point, connect different materials with it and achieve an interesting transition.
Finally, the designer choose the slap circle bracelet wrist band material as a one of the main materials, to continue the process.
In order to allow two different materials to achieve an interesting connection, during the sketch process, the designer intentionally draws different parts of the shoe, imagine the contact of different materials.
Designer likes hard materials and hope to find a balance between soft and hard. Most of today’s metal materials are used for decoration in the footwear design. If new materials appear in the future, can we use metal materials as the main material?
So, the designer decided to design a pair of shoes for the future.
In 2075, people find several new planets again, and most people have adapted to live in their new home. In order to meet the needs of living on different planets, there has been a great change in clothing and life. People have new materials and new ways of wearing, the way of tightening has become easier and faster, functions has become more powerful. The Swet shoes adopt a unique fastening system and a decorative design, hope to bring different wear experiences and new aesthetic experiences to the users.
The design uses magnetic, memory material as the fastening material, and mixes soft and hard elements of different quality into mix&match. In the meantime, user could choose their own desired match.
In the recent runway shows, retro minimalist style is returning again and will lead the trend in the coming years. The SWET 01, which is the first-mover for this year, incorporates the “future capital” architectural style and features. The company will first launch two functional shells and two internal items.

The sneaker style shell is mainly suited for everyday wear, and titanium foam outsole can freely convert between comfort and stiffness. Foam texture can ensure comfort in daily life. The built-in sensor can instantly transfer titanium material to a hard texture and achieve functional coordination with the spacecraft (such as sucking the ground or making ejections under the emergency） to adapt to a sudden situation.

The caravan style shell is mainly designed for the interstellar travelers, the interstellar travel is popular recent years. Outsole made by a combination of deformable metal materials and rubber materials, the damping and grip are well balanced. When encountering different ground, the deformation of the lugs can make the sole more effective in gripping the ground. When meeting the rocky ground, the lugs hidden in the sole underside will deform more sharply and longer to pierce the rock; when encounter the sandy ground, rubber outsole lugs will deepen to increase friction.
